Rose and Waid Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc. - Conneaut LakeJohn T. “Jack” Watson, age 83, of Conneaut Lake passed away Saturday evening November 22, 2025, in The Grove at Harmony.
He was born in Pittsburgh on April 5, 1942, the son of James P. and Jean A. (Kozesky) Watson.
He was a graduate of Central Catholic High School and went on to earn his bachelor’s degree in philosophy from the Athenaeum of Ohio. He later continued his education, receiving his Master of Arts in Teaching from the University of Pittsburgh.
On July 11, 2003, Jack married the former Patricia Shuffstall, she survives.
He served as a principal in the Pittsburgh Public School District before becoming the principal of Seton Catholic School in Meadville for two years. Prior to his work in administration, he was a dedicated teacher and later a principal.
Jack was a member of Our Lady Queen of Americas Church, Conneaut Lake VFD Station #3, and enjoyed golfing, boating, and biking.
He is survived by a daughter, Jolene M. Watson and her husband Seth Jackson of Emsworth, PA; two sons, Shawn T. Watson and his wife Rebecca of Emlenton, PA, Brent E. Watson and his wife Rachael of Sewickley, PA; a step- daughter Bobbi Callas and her husband Reed; a sister Janet Burke of Penn Hills, PA; a brother, Tim Watson and his wife Ruth of Conneaut Lake; eleven grandchildren, Ari, Zephyn, Gage, Mason, Ruby, Maggie, Keira, Will, Zach, Olivia, and Kyle.
He is preceded in death by his parents, brother, Jim Watson, and two sisters, Lois Greenberg and Judy Crombie.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to The Samaritans at Our Lady Queen of Americas Church, 155 S. 9th Street, Conneaut Lake PA 16316.
A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, December 6, 2025, at 4:00 PM in ROSE AND WAID FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, 12422 CONNEAUT LAKE RD., CONNEAUT LAKE. Family and friends will be received on Saturday, December 6, 2025, at the funeral home from 1:00 PM until the time of service.
Inurnment will be in Our Lady Queen of Americas Columbarium.
