John Watts Obituary

John Fred Watts, 76, of Yuma, Arizona, lost his battle with Parkinson's Disease and passed away on October 17, 2023. He was born on April 17, 1947, in Denver, Colorado. John, affectionately known as "Fred" by his close friends and "Freddie" by his relatives, will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

John dedicated his life to his career as an auto mechanic, where he honed his skills and served his community in Port Angeles, Washington with unwavering dedication. His commitment to excellence and his passion for his craft were evident in the quality of his work and the satisfaction of his customers.

When he wasn't under the hood, John had a deep love for fishing. Armed with his trusty rod and a tackle box full of tricks, he'd head out to Freshwater Bay to cast his line and reel in the catch of the day with a smile as wide as the open sea.

John also had a wonderful sense of humor, always ready with a joke or a witty remark to bring a smile to the faces of those around him. His big grin will forever be remembered by all who had the pleasure of sharing in his company.

John is survived by his beloved wife, Lynn Watts of Arizona, who stood by his side throughout their journey together. He will also be lovingly remembered by his daughters: Tina Thompson of Oregon, Tammy Reick of Washington, Tabatha Watts of Florida, and Virginia Bailey Bowels of Colorado, and Roseann Watts, also of Colorado, as well as his son, Johnny Watts Jr of Washington. His presence will be greatly missed by his grandchildren, Morgan Reick, Aurora Watts, Jesse Bailey, Levi Lindsey, Jaden Bailey, Savannah Bailey, Sierra Sutton, Amanda Smith, and his three great-grandchildren. Additionally, Fred is survived by his brother, Kenneth Watts of Colorado.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Eugene Watts of Colorado and Lorene Dinkel of Alabama, as well as his sisters Sandra Nicholson and Patricia Trujillo, both of Colorado.

John's presence will be deeply missed, but his legacy of love for his family and fishing, and his big grin will live on in the hearts of his family and friends. May he rest in peace, forever remembered for the impact he made in the lives of those he touched.

A celebration of John's life will be held in Washington state by his children at a later date.

Beautiful obituary.... totally remember him "always ready with a joke or a witty remark to bring a smile to the faces of those around him. His big grin will forever be remembered by all who had the pleasure of sharing in his company." Thank you for sharing him with me.
