John Watts Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Rindt-Erdman Funeral Home and Crematory on Jan. 20, 2026.
John Andrew "Andy" Watts was born on November 1, 1947, in Arkansas City, Kansas. He passed away on January 15 while residing at Presbyterian Manor. Andy was raised in San Pedro, California, where he spent much of his youth. He proudly served his country as a Vietnam veteran, serving on the front lines during the war. After returning home, Andy became a skilled blacksmith, specializing in shoeing horses. He later married Kathleen, and together they had two children, John and Sabrina. Andy was the oldest of four siblings. He was preceded in death by his parents, John Milton Watts and Lois Earline Tanquary Watts; brother, Jeffrey Watts, and his sister, Jennifer Chavez, both of whom passed away within the last year. He is survived by his sister, Amy Powers; his son, John Watts; his daughter, Sabrina Brittain; his granddaughter, Laila Watts; and his grandsons, Cody Watts and Zane Brittain. Andy was also deeply loved by his niece and nephew, Rachael and Rustin, who cherished him as a beloved family member. Andy will be remembered for his service to his country, his craftsmanship, and his enduring role as a brother, father, grandfather, uncle, and cowboy at heart. His memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
