John Weaver, 82, of Little Rock, passed away on January 22, 2024, surrounded by family. Born on January 29, 1941, in Camp, Arkansas, to Robert and Vivian Baker Weaver, John was a straight shooter, a perfectionist, and uncommonly tidy. But most of all, he was a true servant who lived to take care of his family and friends.

John spent his early years in Camp and Salem. Later, he moved with his family to Jacksonville. He graduated from Jacksonville High School in 1959, and he attended the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville.

John loved to work. He spent many years working in real estate, insurance, and land development. John was a numbers guy and could add figures in his head faster than any calculator. When not working in an office, John liked working in the yard. He always had the most well-manicured lawn on the street.

John is survived by his wife, Carolyn, his partner in crime of 58 years; his daughter, Dr. Christi Weaver Shepard, and her husband, Mike, of Little Rock; his daughter, Raina Weaver, of Little Rock; and the lights of his life—grandchildren, Rhett, Riley, and Reese Shepard. He is also survived by several cousins, nieces, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his sisters, Barbara Cantrell, Jean Harris, and Phyllis Smith; and his brothers, Robert W. Weaver and Bobby Dean Weaver.

John was a member of Pleasant Valley Church of Christ.

The family would like to thank the nurses at Baptist Medical Health Center SICU for their compassionate care of John.

A private family service will be held. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a charity of your choice. Honor John by taking good care of others.
