John Terry Webb

John Terry Webb, of Byars, was born June 27, 1953, in Tulsa, Oklahoma and entered eternal life January 21, 2026, in Norman, Oklahoma at the age of 72 years. His parents were Thomas M. and Iona May (Matthies) Webb. After their passing a neighbor took him in and became his second mom, Dorothy Welch.

He was raised in Pauls Valley and is a 1971 graduate of Pauls Valley High School where he was also a very active Panthers Football player. With a football scholarship, he furthered his education by attending Haskell Indian Nation University in Lawrence, Kansas.

John and Doris Katherine Lang were married for over 24 years. He worked as a Derek Hand in the Oil Fields and has lived in the Pauls Valley and Byars area most of his life.

John was preceded in death by his parents, his parents, Thomas M. and Iona M. (Matthies) Webb.

He is survived by two sons, Todd and his wife, Mary Webb, of Purcell; and Thomas Webb, of Lexington; six grandchildren, and six great grandchildren with one on the way.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 29, 2026, at 11:00 am at Stufflebean-Coffey Funeral Home Chapel officiated by Rev. Bruce Ford. Due to weather conditions, a private interment will be at Rosedale Cemetery at Rosedale, Oklahoma, under the direction of Stufflebean-Coffey Funeral Home.
