Theda Rae Baker

Theda Rae Baker of Pauls Valley, Oklahoma passed away on January 30, 2026 at her home surrounded by family. She was born August 6, 1937 to Lee and Maude Wilson in Byars, Oklahoma.

Theda was married to Troy Baker on April 25, 1957and together they raised 6 children in the Stratford area. She was a devoted Christian woman who was loved by many. She was a kind soul with a fighting spirit. Theda taught Sunday School at several Baptist churches that her husband pastored. Most recently, they had attended Walker Baptist Church.

Theda's passion in life was her family, whom she loved dearly. She thoroughly enjoyed preparing big meals for her loved ones. This world was a much better place because she was in it.

Theda is survived by her husband of 68 years: Troy Baker; 4 daughters: Renee Robinson of Fairhope, Alabama, Connie King and husband Jay of Stratford, Sheila Johnson and husband Bobby of Pauls Valley, and Beth Turner of Wynnewood. She is also survived by a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Theda also is survived by 2 sisters: Thelma Miller of Joplin, Missouri and Gerri Wilson of Earlsboro, Oklahoma and many nieces and nephews.

Theda was preceded in death by her parents: Lee and Maude Wilson, brother: Vernell Wilson, sister: Linda Keltner, and 2 sons: Bobby Baker and Allen Baker.
