I met Jack when I was a rookie deputy in 1969. For whatever reason he took me under his wing. On day he told me to met him at the Waukesha Airport at 8:00a.m. the next day because we were going to enroll in classes for Police Science at MATC. Over the years we became friends and he often offered me fatherly advice as I pursued my career at the Sheriff's Department. Good times shared on Pewaukee Lake> He had a artesian well on his lake property and more than once we sat in the shade, shared a cold brew and just enjoyed being alive. He was a man of character and honor and will be missed.
