Age 91 of Fremont, WI, passed away peacefully on January 15, 2026. Roger was born January 7, 1935, to Bert and Lillian (Phelps) Pierce in Salt Lake City, UT. He married the love of his life, MaryAnn, in Milwaukee on November 3, 1955. They were blessed with 5 beautiful children.

Roger enlisted in the Navy and served aboard the USS Oriskany aircraft carrier from 1954-1958. During those years he traveled to Japan and received a Good Conduct Medal.

Roger worked as a custodian for the New Berlin school system. He was a Captain of the fire department and an EMT. He was very proud to serve his community. He was a member of the Lions Club and Jaycees. In retirement he enjoyed many years of traveling and his lake home up north. He also enjoyed watching his grandchildren have fun in the lake and go on boat rides. He kept himself busy doing puzzles and sitting outside watching nature.

Surviving Roger are his children: David (Lisa) Pierce of Waukesha, Gerald (Lori) Pierce of New Berlin, Denise Rolli of Milwaukee, Kenneth (Susan) Pierce of Fremont, Daughter-in-law Pauline Pierce of Pensacola. Sister Elaine DeCosta. He is further survived by his grandchildren: Bryan (Margot) Pierce, Jake (Rachel) Pierce, Christopher Pierce, Alex Rolli, Jessica (Maxwell) Bartelme, Bernard Rolli, Clay (Bria) Pierce, Leah Pierce (Fiancé Joshua Molina), Bryce Pierce, Nathan (Marissa) Pierce, Courtney Pierce and his great grandchildren: Poppy, Ziggy and Jax Pierce, Hadley, Willow and Judah Pierce, Anders and Emmett Fischer and Jonas Molina, Madelyn Bartelme, and Emmett Pierce; as well as other friends and family.

Preceding him in death are his wife, MaryAnn; his son Allan Pierce; and his parents Bert and Lillian Pierce.

Visitation will be held Thursday, January 22, 2026, at CHURCH AND CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME, 380 Bluemound Rd, Waukesha, WI from 11:00 AM until the time of the Service at 1:00 PM. Private interment at St. Joseph Cemetery.
