John Thomas Williams Jr. was born to the union of John Thomas Williams Sr. and Johnnie Mae Underwood who preceded him in death.
John accepted Christ at an early age and attended International Gospel Center under the leadership of Apostle Miles for several years.
John attended Ecorse Schools. He used to be a floor boy at Miller School for roller skating. John also worked at Ford Motor for a few years. Afterwards John began cutting hair in the back of Yella Hammers house with his friend Budd. Then, John went on to pursue and get his barber degree in cosmetology.
In 1985 he married Patrica Ann Flemmings until 1991. Afterwards, John began working at Mattie's Shop cutting hair for some years. Then he went on to work at Economy Shoe Repair cutting hair working alongside his boy Chip, up until he retired.
John was well liked and loved by all that knew him. He was a people person, and he had a crazy sense of humor. Some of his favorite sayings were "calm down," " you hear me," and "you gotta understand."
June 11th 2025 John was called home to be with the lord. He leaves behind a son, John Jr. aka June June; daughter, Sarah aka Tyrone #2; stepson, Brandon, and son-in-law, David; his grandchildren, Precious, Xavier, Destiny and Amelia; his siblings, six sisters and three brothers and a host of cousins, nieces and nephews.
Revelation 21:4 He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away.
The family chooses to honor John privately! There will not be a visitation or service.
