John "Willie" "Pat" Patrick Egstad Age 71, of Chetek, WI, passed away peacefully at home from Melanoma on Wednesday, January 10, 2024. He was born on April 17, 1952 in San Antonio, Texas to Roger and Lois (Schultz) Clendening. Pat graduated from Cameron High School in 1970 and then married his High School sweetheart Connie Schultz on July 1, 1972 in Cameron, WI. He worked for ABC in Chetek for over 40 years and retired as plant coordinator and maintenance. Willie spent much of his time cruising the Lakes of Chetek with Connie - fishing. His talent in woodworking was awesome. He made bird houses and bird feeders that were custom and unique. He enjoyed watching the Green Bay Packers and the Wisconsin Badgers, going out to Lehman's Supper Club for a nice meal and playing Keno. Willie was known for his loyalty and love to his family and friends. He handed down his love to his son for the lake, being outdoors and Canadian Goose hunting. He is survived by his wife, Connie Egstad; a son and daughter-in-law, Tyler and Eloise Egstad; 3 step grandchildren; 2 step great grandchildren; his dog and cheese/cracker partner, Emma; a granddog, Brandy; a brother, Jim Egstad; a sister, Mary (Terry) Schultz; 2 sisters-in-law, Vicki (Jim) Bartlett and Mary (Bruce) DeGidio; many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, old friends and new friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Roger Clendening and Lois Egstad; his parents-in-law, Donald and Betty Schultz; a brother, Mick Egstad. The family would like to thank Marshfield Medical Center Hospice and Oncology Department; and the medical supply company in Rice Lake. A celebration of his life will be held at a later date. Appleyard's Home for Funerals/Jon Tillung in Rice Lake, WI is assisting and serving the family with the arrangements.
