John D. Wynn, 74, of Aloha, Oregon, passed away unexpectedly on January 31, 2024, at his home with his loved ones by his side.
John was born on June 20, 1949, in Nebraska City, Nebraska, to the late Donald and ViRendia (Jones) Wynn. He spent his childhood on the family farm, where he learned to love agriculture, mechanics and animals. He graduated from Farragut High School in 1967 and pursued a trade degree in auto mechanics.
He had a diverse and fulfilling career, working as a welder, a mechanic, and a lineman for Bell Telephone (AT&T). He was proud of his work and enjoyed solving problems and creating solutions. He retired in 2007 from the Beaverton School District, where he served for 26 years.
John is survived by his wife of 47 years, Tamora (Doty), their son Joshua Wynn, his former wife Denise and their son John E. (Barbara) Wynn and his grandchildren Aaron Wynn, Hailey Wynn and many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Donald Wynn
He had a passion for fishing and camping with family and friends.
He also had a taste for exploring new cuisines and restaurants, and always enjoyed a good meal. He adored his family dog, Mika, and spoiled her with treats and toys.
In accordance with his wishes, there will be no service. His family will honor his memory in a private ceremony at a later date.
