John Joseph Zahorchak, 80, of Allentown, passed away peacefully on June 28, 2025. Born in Allentown, he was the son of the late Albert and Erma (Kovacs) Manvitch. John is survived by his loving wife, Linda J. (Merwine) Zahorchak; the two would celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary this coming April.
He was a devoted husband and loving father who lived with quiet strength and deep loyalty to his family. He gave his love freely, unconditionally, and without question – always steady, always there, no matter what.
John will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Linda; children: Tina Eckhart, Wendi Oyola, and Bill Zahorchak; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; siblings: Sandy Rodgers, Robert Zahorchak, Erma Toman, and Eleanor Galgon, as well as many nieces, nephews, and extended family.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in passing by a sister, Marie Jones, and a twin brother who passed at birth, Joseph John Zahorchak.
Calling hours will be held Tuesday, July 8, 2025 from 10AM until the service at 11AM all at Grandview Cemetery Mausoleum 2735 Walbert Avenue Allentown, PA 18104. The family welcomes those in attendance to wear their favorite Phillies or Eagles gear in honor of John's memory.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in John's memory to The Lehigh Valley Humane Society www.lehighcountyhumanesociety.org
