John Zimmer Obituary
Navy Veteran, John Thomas Zimmer, at the age of 73, passed away peacefully on January 30, 2026, at the Clement J Zablocki VA Hospital. John is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Carolyn (nee Everts); Beautiful daughters, Kaylyn and Kelly (Orlando) Munoz; proud son, Kevin (Melissa) Dubord; and 6 outstanding grandchildren: Brittany (Scott), Brent, Jayson, Mila, Paul, and Norah. John was also blessed with 2 great grandchildren, Wyatt and Kaylie. He is also survived by his dear sister, Connie (Steve) Hecker; brother, Dan (Carla) Zimmer; special Aunt, Sue; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, family, and friends.
John is preceded in death by both of his parents, John "Jack" and Shirley Zimmer.
Visitation for John will be held Saturday, February 21, 2026, from 10:00-11:30 at Journeys Lutheran School (5425 S 111th St. Hales Corners, WI 53130) in the chapel with a service to be held at 11:30. A luncheon will follow provided by the wonderful Journeys Lutheran School Staff.
Cemetery burial and military honors will be held on Monday, February 23, 2026, at 10:00 at the Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery (21731 Spring St. Union Grove, WI 53182).
