Johna Estes Wicker passed away on Tuesday, September 23, 2025 in Azle, TX at the age of 73.
She was the loving mother of Lloyd Huddleston and wife Laraine, Tina Durr and husband John, and Brent Wicker and wife Allison. She was the proud grandmother of three granddaughters Dailyn, Scottie Kaye and Steele who were her greatest joy.
She is also survived by her sister and best friend, Patricia Tackett and husband Ernest and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Johna was a breast cancer survivor twice, first diagnosed in 1993 and lastly in December 2024. She worked for many years at Phillips in Mineral Wells, TX then later working and retiring as a Teacher’s Aide in Millsap TX, where she touched the lives of many students. A woman of strong faith, she will be remembered for her kindness, her love of all things cats and her devotion to The Dallas Cowboys.
She has joined her loved ones in heaven: her husband, James Wicker; her parents, Odus (Bud) and Joy Estes; her brothers, James, Ben, and Wayne Estes; and her niece, Donna Tackett.
Services for Johna: Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 PM on Monday, September 29th at Baum-Carlock Bumgardner Funeral Home in Mineral Wells, TX. The funeral will be at the same location at 2:00 PM Tuesday, September 30th. Graveside services to follow at Fairview Cemetery.
