Johnathan Cave, 42 of Santa Rosa, NM, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Friday, January 19, 2024.
Johnathan was born on January 18, 1982, in Pampa, Texas to Joseph Cave and Janice (Sanchez) Cave. Johnathan was raised in Albuquerque, NM, Santa Rosa, NM and Clovis, NM—attending schools in all three locations.
Johnathan married the former Sara Trujillo on February 18, 2021, at The Church of Christ in Santa Rosa, NM. Johnathan was a glass installer and worked as a front desk clerk at various hotels and as a handyman.
In his spare time, Johnathan liked to fish, play golf, and etch glass. He also enjoyed football and Little League, as a youth.
Johnathan is preceded in death by his father: Joseph Clifford Cave, his paternal grandparents: Dewey and Peggy Cave, his maternal grandparents: Joe V. and Bernie Sanchez, his cousin Ivan Cave and his uncles: Craig and Heath Cave.
Johnathan is survived by his mother: Janice Cave, his wife: Sara Cave, his children: Kayla Moncayo, Anthony Cave, Ayla Cave, Anna Marie Lopez and Troy Lopez, his grandson: Izaia Cave, his brother: Josh (Billie) Cave and his nephew and niece: Joey and Reece Cave, as well as numerous uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends.
Urn Bearers will include: Gabriel Romero, Josh Cave, Joey Cave, Anthony Cave, Troy Lopez, and Dave Sanchez.
Services will be Saturday, January 27, 2024 at 10AM at the Santa Rosa Church of Christ. Interment of cremains will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Santa Rosa.
