Johnathon James Jett

It is with great sadness that the family of Johnathon James Jett announce his passing. On August 6, 2025, Johnathon James Jett, cherished son, brother, uncle, grandson, nephew, cousin, and friend passed away at the age of 25. He was the first born on 3 children to Letty and Billy Jett on September 23, 1999 in Houston, Texas.

Johnathon grew up with his loving family in the same house his entire life. He loved being with his family. His home was his favorite place, his second favorite place would have to be the woods. He began Cub Scouts in second grade and completed all the way through Scouts by earning his Eagle. It was one of his proudest moments. He was excited when his younger brother, William, joined Scouts. He was always willing to share his experiences with him. Johnathon loved swimming as well. He shared these swim moments with his sister, Bella.

Johnathon Graduated high school and began working full time with his father. He really loved saying he worked with his dad. In December of 2021, he decided to become a truck driver. By February of 2022, he left home to start driving. As soon as his training was complete, he came home to pick up his beloved dog, Jasmine. She never left his side. John was a trucker, and Jasmine was a trucker dog.

Left to cherish his memories are his parents, Letty and Billy, his sister, Bella, and brother-in-law, Treston Smith, niece, Violet Smith, and his younger brother, William. He also leaves behind his grandparents, Raquel Ortegon and Jim and Linda Jett, as well as his aunt, Nani, and uncle Tom Palacios, aunt, Pat, and uncle, Abe Romero, uncle, Ernest, and aunt, Diana Ortegon, uncle, Edward, and aunt, Maria Ortegon, uncle, David, and aunt, Carol Ortegon, aunt, Janice, and uncle, James Fisher, along with many, many cousins.

He is gone but has left countless memories with all that knew him. He is in our hearts and will be missed.
