Johnathon was the kind of person who could strike up a conversation with anyone. He had a big personality, a quick wit, and a way of making people feel comfortable right away. Whether he was meeting someone for the first time or chatting with an old friend, he had a natural gift for connecting with others. He was headstrong and stubborn in the best ways, always standing firm in what he believed and never afraid to speak his mind. Johnathon had a deep love for gaming and computers, and he spent countless hours playing online with a close-knit group of friends who meant a lot to him. He was passionate about the things he enjoyed and poured his energy into them fully. More than anything, Johnathon loved his family. He showed up for the people he cared about and made sure they knew they were important to him. He had a kind heart, a lively spirit, and a genuine way of being that made it easy for people to befriend him. His presence will be deeply missed by everyone who had the chance to know him.
He is preceded in death by his father, Daniel Ray Nicholson; his paternal grandfather, Bob Nicholson; and his maternal grandfather, Larry McKee.
Johnathon is survived by his mother and step father, Charity Lee and Andy Cogburn of Norman, Arkansas; his girlfriend and love of his life, Kalie Clibrey and her son, Brayden; his grandmothers, Kim Crees of Mena; Heidi Nicholson of Mena, and Bonnie Cogburn of Norman, Arkansas; his two brothers, Matthew Bour of Mena, and Ronald Medford of Mena; numerous uncles, aunts, cousins, and a host of other relatives and friends.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, August 18, 2025 at 5:30 PM at the Faith Missionary Baptist Church in Mena, Arkansas. Cremation arrangements are entrusted to Bowser Family Funeral Home in Mena, Arkansas.
