Obituary of Johnathon Micheal Thompson
Johnathon Micheal Thomspon, age 42, was born on November 28, 1982, and lovingly known as "J.T." and "Bubby," passed away to join a Heavenly party on March 16th, 2025.
Johnathon was unnervingly optimistic with a get-up-a-go attitude. His determination to live life to the fullest was fueled by his understanding of how precious life is. On 8/29/2015 Johnathon received a lifesaving double transplant of a kidney and pancreas, blessing him with 10 more beautiful years. *
Marrying his sweet love, Megan, on 10/25/2003, their story is a Testimony of what 'In sickness and health means'. Hand in Hand, they braved through life with so much laughter. His paradise was "His Girls": his Wife, Megan, and Daughter, Aubrey. They were his purpose. From family dinners and dates, game nights at the house with steaks on the grill, surprise Disney vacations and those quiet moments together at home. They were his beating heart, and his love will forever surround them.
He traveled a beautiful road from birth with his momma; "Mommy". Having raised each other, Johnathon was embedded with his unique sense of adventure that is beyond his years. Their bond was indescribable. As Mom says, "He is the love of my life." Johnathon loved her with such tenderness and softness that he ensured she would feel it for a lifetime.
He truly lived in the moment. Nothing was too far away or too big of a goal for him. And he would make you feel the same way because it was his truth. His smile, laugh, and sense of humor were captivating to all who met him. To be around him was to experience the zest of life with someone who truly understood its fragility. But let me tell you, he rode life hard, with the windows down, good music, and no fear.
Johnathon was an avid Auburn fan through and through. He loved spending time out fishing, playing yard games and throwing something on the grill. No golf course was too far away to meet with his friends. Johnathon was a card carrying Annual Passholder to Disney and he was always ready to say "we are in" to whoever was going.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Howard & Morrell Thompson; and Dad, Phillip Thompson
He is survived by his Wife, Megan Thompson; his Daughter, Aubrey Thompson; his Grandparents, "Gran Jan," Janice Swann, "Dandy," John Swann, "Grandma D", Dianna Crawford; his Momma, Wendi Frederick; his Dad on Earth, Robert Frederick; sisters, Delia Adams (Dakota Adams), Drew Ann Rodriguez (Arington Rodriguez), Amber Williams (Nicholas Williams); brothers, Dylan Frederick, Sean Thompson; and countless nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and lifelong friends.
We can't wait to hug you again.
"Love ya"
