Johnetta Marie "Leach" Yeager

Johnetta Marie (Leach) Yeager, age 51, of Versailles, passed away Monday, September 22, 2025, at University of Missouri Hospital and Clinics in Columbia. She was born May 7, 1974, in Waverly, Missouri, a daughter of John F., Sr. and Betty Jane (Chenoweth) Leach. Johnetta was a soil and water conservationist working at the Morgan County USDA Service Center. She was a member of the Versailles First Assembly of God Church. She found joy in the simple things – her blooming coneflowers and tiger lilies, the thrill of a good thrift find and most of all, her love for her daughters, Sydney and Kynzie and her dog, Oscar. Johnetta was rarely seen without a smile and often behind a camera, snapping selfies with family and friends, capturing the moments that mattered most. A dedicated 4-H volunteer, she gave her time generously, encouraging young people and sharing her passions with them. Whether she was digging in the garden, searching for treasures at garage sales, or laughing with her best friends, Pam and Michael, she brought warmth and light wherever she went. Her love was deep, her joy contagious and her absence will be deeply felt by all who knew her. She is survived by her daughters, Sydney Yeager and Kynzie Yeager both of the home; her mother, Betty Jane Leach of Versailles, Missouri; her sister, Michele Edrington of Huntsville, Alabama; brother, John F. Leach, Jr. of Columbia, Missouri; half-sister, Jennifer Leach and many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her father, John F. Leach, Sr. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 Noon, Tuesday, September 30th, at the Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home of Versailles with Pastor Blake Tiemann officiating. Graveside services and interment will follow in the Versailles Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 Noon, Tuesday, at the funeral home.
