Johnna Hopper

Johnna Royce Adams Hopper, 89, passed away on December 29, 2025, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She was born May 24, 1936 to Roy H. Adams and Kathryn Rice Adams in Walters, Oklahoma. She lived the majority of her life in Lawton, Oklahoma where she graduated from Lawton High School in 1954. She was married on May17, 1955 to Weldon Richard Hopper.
Johnna assisted her parents in the family business Roy Adams Accounting and later Kay Adams Accounting. She was the book keeper for Centenary United Methodist Church and served on many committees and missions including Neighborhood Breakfast, Logos, Sunday school teacher and St. John's Lunch. She was active in her high school reunion group, book clubs, and The Little Schoolhouse Ladies Group. She and her family loved camping, fishing and water sports. In 1992 they moved to their home near Lake Lawtonka where she could walk her dogs, enjoy looking at Mount Scott out of her kitchen window and sitting on the patio with Richard in the evening.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Roy H. Adams Jr., and her husband Weldon Richard Hopper.
She is survived by her daughters Robin DeVere and husband John, Bonnie Ledford and her husband Keegan, grandchildren John Richard DeVere, Ellyn Royse DeVere and partner Jacob King, Morgan Elizabeth Ledford, and Courtney Paige Ledford, nephew Roy Horace Adams III, cousins Betty and Ron Friels, and great grandchildren, Farron and Jaxon King.
Graveside ceremony will be held on Saturday, January 3, 2026 at 11:00 A.M. at Letitia Cemetery, Lawton Oklahoma. In lieu of flowers please make your donations to Centenary United Methodist Church in Lawton, Oklahoma.
