Graveside services for Johnnie Bartlett will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, September 27, 2025, at the Alva Municipal Cemetery with Arrangements are under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home of Alva. Johnnie Joe, son of the late Walter Leon Bartlett and Sharon Cloy (Wright) Mead, was born August 17, 1958, at Alva and passed away September 23, 2025, at Alva at the age of 67 years, 1 month, and 6 days. Johnnie grew up and attended school in Alva. On December 31, 1977, he was united in marriage to Juliann Barr in Pampa, Texas. They lived there until moving back to Alva where they have lived the past 44 years. He worked in the oilfield as a driller for many years. The past few years he has been mowing several yards. Besides his parents, Walter Bartlett and Sharon Mead, he was preceded in death by his sister, Gina Mead; and his in-laws, Donald Barr and Jim and Elsie Rodgers. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Juliann Bartlett of Alva; his sons, Tim Steffen of Boulder Creek, California, Jeremy Bartlett and Bryan Bartlett, both of Alva; two sisters, Shelly Mead of Guthrie, and Sonya Smith and husband, Jason, of Jenks; many other relatives and friends. Memorial contributions may be made through the funeral to the Woods County Senior Citizens or the Alva Public Library.
