Johnnie Lewis Devane of Frostproof passed away Saturday, November 30, 2024 at his residence.
He was born July 10, 1958 in Bartow to the late Lacy and Jeretha DeVane. Johnnie was the owner and operator of a trucking company. He was an excellent mechanic and enjoyed working on his truck. Johnnie loved spending time with his family. A good man is reflected by the smiles on the faces of the people who surround him. He maintains relationships with passionate loyalty and nourishes those hearts with uncompromising faithfulness and a duty to protect the ones he loves most. He is responsible for his own home and the homes of his family members. He is strong and confident in his actions, but he can also make you laugh at his ridiculous humor. A good man is so much more than words could ever describe.
Johnnie DeVane was a good man. He was good at his job, good to his friends, good to his family, and good to his wife, Lynn, his best friend in life. He was so good that he was great. Perhaps he was too good for this world. We were fortunate to have him while we did. Johnnie, we will miss you.
Johnnie was preceded in death by his brother, Mike Devane. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Lynn Devane; son, Anthony Devane of Frostproof; and granddaughter, Rayleigh Devane.
