Mr. Johnnie Lee Goad has gone to heaven. He was 73. He was born on November 5, 1949, in Edmond, OK to Jefferson Scott and Betty JoAnn (Harris) Goad. Raised in Luther, he attended School there. His first job was on a farm where he took care of hunting dogs, he also raised pheasant and quail for the hunting club. He worked as a grader operator for the Noble County for many years. He married the love of his life, Connie Seagroves in Guthrie on March 9, 1968. The couple shared 55 beautiful years of marriage. They made their home in Red Rock where they raised their family. He enjoyed hunting and fishing but enjoyed spending time with the grandkids most of all.
He was reunited in heaven with his parents Jefferson and Betty, wife Connie Mae, brothers Jackie Goad, Jimmy Goad, Jay Goad, Jerry Goad and LeRoy Goad and his wife Rosie, and sister Jeannie Knittle.
He leaves behind to mourn his loss son Johnnie Goad, Jr. and his wife Janet of Ponca City, son Ronnie Goad and his wife Leesa of Blackwell, daughter Sage Goad of Red Rocl, son James Goad of Red Rock, grandchildren Tyler James Goad of Red Rock, Courtney Goad of Ponca City, Wade Goad and his wife Meagan of Bartlesville, Jordan Goad of Ponca City, and Kylie Goad of Ponca City. Great Grandchildren include Kaylee Goad, Madison Miles, McKenzie Miles, Lee Goad, Lena Goad, Lila Goad, Olivia Washington, Sterline Goad, Diesel Goad, and Oliver Collier. Also surviving are his sister JoAnn Corcoran and her husband Art of Guthrie, brother Jody Goad and his wife Kathy of Guthrie, brother Kenneth Goad, sisters -in-law Beckie Goad, Debbie Goad and Nancy Goad, as well as a plethora of nieces and nephews.
Friends are invited to stop by Brown Dugger Funeral Home of Perry for a come and go viewing on Sunday, October 15, 2023, from 1 p.m. until 5 p.m. and again on Monday October 16, 2023 from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m.
The celebration of Johnnie’s life will be held on Tuesday, October 17, 2023 at the First Christian Church of Perry, 701 Holly street, beginning at 2 p.m. Minister Jimmy Kenner will officiate. Please send flowers to the funeral home. Donations in his name may be made payable to the Otoe Baptist Church Red Rock, OK 74651.
