Johnnie Micojoha Kight, 84, of Fitzgerald, Georgia, died Wednesday, January 21, 2026, at her residence.

The family will receive friends, 6PM until 8PM, Friday evening, January 23, 2026 at the Paulk Funeral Home in Fitzgerald. Private services will be held at a later date.

Ms. Kight was born October 25, 1941, in Lax, Georgia, to the late Jeff Orville and Gladys Swilley Harper. She was employed with the Ben Hill County School system for many years. Ms. Kight volunteered with the Christian Kitchen, Communities in Schools and raised money for the American Cancer Society. Her grandchildren were the highlight of her life. She loved them dearly and was very proud of each one of them. She was a member of Lax Baptist Church, and attended St. Peters United Methodist Church.

She is survived by her sons: Willie Jesse Kight, Jr. & Nancy and Jeff Kight & Kelly; grandchildren: Parker Kight & Hannah, Preston Kight, Kasey Jones & Colby, and Landon Kight; a sister, Jeffrey Quinn; a brother, Jack Harper; nieces: Nancy Young, Sandy Ammons, and Christy Brown; a nephew, Lee Quinn. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Willie "Billy" Jesse Kight Sr., a sister, Romell McCoy; and a niece, Denise Carver.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests those desiring to send memorials, please send them to St. Peter's United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 1148 Fitzgerald, Georgia, 31750 or the American Cancer Society.

Paulk Funeral Home, Fitzgerald, is in charge of arrangements.
