Johnnie Ray Lowe Sr., age 68 of Boons Camp, KY., passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on October 21, 2024. He was born on January 4, 1956 in Man, West Virginia to Lawyer and Margaret Josphine Lowe. Johnnie was a member of the Boons Camp Church of God for many years. Johnnie is proceeded in death by his mother and father: Lawyer and Margaret Josphine Lowe, one sister: Betty Lowe Smeester, one brother: Andy Lowe, one grandchild: Damien Osburn, father and mother-in-law: Arvil and Eleanore Mosley Hendricks. Johnnie is survived by one brother: Robert Lowe, one sister: Louverna Lowe (Roger) Adkins, his loving wife Eleanore Gay Hendricks Lowe whom he loved more than life itself, for fifty years. His four children Johnny Ray (Pam Estep) Lowe Jr. Julie Dawn Lowe Webb, Joannie Lynn (P.J.) Dotson Osburn, Jennifer Rose Dalton (Larry Heuser). Johnnie has twelve grandchildren: Elizabeth Sword Rivers, Johnnie Lowe III, (John Bear), Felicia Lowe, Savannah Lowe (Michael) Wruck, Brittany Hannah (Dalmer) Moore, Sarah Vickers (Andrew) Butcher, Lisa (Christine) Vickers, Rebecca Vickers (Mathan) Woodrum, Moriah Webb, Emilee Osburn, Dalton Heuser and Emma Dalton. Johnnie is also survived by seventeen great grandchildren. He loved farming, hunting and ginseng. Johnnie loved to make people laugh but most importantly he loved his family beyond measure. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 4 p.m. until 9 p.m. and after 10 a.m. Thursday until time of services at the Boons Camp Church of God. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Thursday at the Boons Camp Church of God, with Joe Stepp, and Eddie Stepp officiating. Burial will follow in the Lowe Family Cemetery at Boons Camp, KY.
