Johnnie Faye Aldridge Rafferty, 94, of Long Beach, Mississippi, passed away on Monday, December 22, 2025.
Johnnie was born in Iuka, MS, on August 31, 1931, to the late Johnnie Aldridge and Elsie Rutherford Aldridge. She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, James Edward Aldridge; her husband, of 75 years, Harry Francis Rafferty; son, William Edward Rafferty, grandson, Jordan Ray Rafferty; and son-in-law, Dennis Mayfield.
She is survived by her children, Frances Spruill (Mike), Mary Beth Kozakiewicz (Pete), Rebecca Mayfield, and John Rafferty; grandchildren, Heather Rafferty, Nicole Spruill Hudson (Scott), Michael Spruill (Candis), Ben Spruill (Stephanie), Samantha Jarnigan (Grant), Derek Kozakiewicz (Quinn), Jeffrey Ward (Allison), Lauren Holder (Peyton), and Steven Mayfield; and her great-grandchildren, Ella Touchstone, Johnnie Claire Blake, Oliver Phillips, Ethan Spruill, Addy Kate Spruill, Colton Spruill, Stone Jarnigan, Scarlet Jarnigan, Gunnar Jarnigan, Galen Jarnigan, Elijah Kozakiewicz, Jackson Ward, Thomas Ward, Briar Rose Holder, Rory Kate Holder, and Peyton Mayfield. Additionally, she leaves behind many other relatives, Susan Way, Vicki Williams, Bill Gant, Harriet Gant, David Gant, Charlie, Rachel lil Charlie, and Allie Grant.
Johnnie was a graduate of Iuka High School in 1950. Throughout her life, she worked in retail, bookkeeping, and catering. She was known for her loving spirit and caring heart, always being an amazing wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, babysitter, and friend to all who knew her.
She was a member of Beta Sigma Phi in Long Beach, MS, and was a dedicated member of the United Methodist Church and a Charter Member of Hope 4 Today.
Her hobbies included reading, cooking, sewing, crocheting, and watching football.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 27, 2025, at 4:30 PM, with a visitation beginning at 3:00 PM at St. Peters By-The-Sea Episcopal Church, 1909 15th St., Gulfport, MS. Visitation will also be on Monday, December 29 from 12:00 pm - 1:00 PM, at Cutshall Funeral Home in Iuka, MS. A graveside service will be at 1:30 PM in Rutledge-Salem United Methodist Church Cemetery.
