Obituary:

Johnnie Rogers, a devoted husband, father, brother, grandfather, and friend, passed away on May 17, 2024 at his residence. Born on November 5, 1951, in Cocke County, Tn, Johnnie lived a life filled with love and faith in the Lord.

Johnnie will be remembered as a passionate fan of the NC Tar Heels, his fondness for the mountains evident in his every conversation. His vibrant personality shone through his love for his grandchildren and his unwavering love of his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Oscar and Jenny Keaton Rogers, his wife Jamie Rogers and his brother Tony Rogers. Johnnie is survived by his daughters Michelle Rogers and Alesha Rogers, siblings, Betty Rogers, and Kenny Rogers. His legacy lives on through his 9 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren who brought immense joy to his life. Johnnie also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews who held a special place in his heart.

In honoring Johnnie's life, let us cherish the memories he created, the love he shared, and the values he instilled in all who had the privilege of knowing him. He will be deeply missed but forever remembered for his kind heart and unwavering devotion to those he held dear.

Rest in peace, Johnnie Rogers. Your spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to have known you.
