Johnny Wendell Bird of Midlothian, Tx passed away peacefully on January 19, 2024, after a short battle with cancer at the age of 62. Johnny was born on March 29, 1961, in Ft. Worth, TX to John and Doris Bird.
At the age of 12 he pushed a broom at his uncle's cabinet shop and that is where his lifelong career started. He learned how to build cabinets, countertops, furniture and learned how to do trim work. He built cabinets for 48 years and enjoyed every minute of it. Anyone who knew Johnny knows he was the best of the best at building cabinets.
Throughout Johnnys life he attended many rock concerts. He was an avid bow and rifle hunter. He enjoyed attending nascar races, going deep sea fishing, camping, riding motorcycles and racing motorcross. He was a cub scout leader for four years.
Johnny "loved" and enjoyed spending time with his best friend Tucker his dog.
He is preceded in death by his parents John Bird and Doris Stanbery.
Johnny is survived by his children Sheryl McDaniel and husband Michael of Midlothian, Tx, Nichole Fuentes of Midlothian, Tx, Colton Bird and wife Ashley of Arlington, Tx, brother Richard Bird and wife Donna of Midlothian, Tx and Niece Amanda Bird. His grandchildren Ryan Fuentes and Hannah, Aydin Fuentes, Hannah Lynch and husband Andrew, Shylar McKenzie.
He is also survived by his dog Tucker.
Johnny will be greatly missed by his family and friends and all that knew and loved him.
