Johnny Earl Bowlin, 76 of Benton, Kentucky passed away on Saturday, December 20, 2025 at his home.
Johnny was born in Marshall County, Kentucky on August 11, 1949 to the late Bob Bowlin and Edna Bradford Bowlin. He worked as an electrician and was a dedicated servant to our community. Johnny spent much of his time giving back to others. He delivered food for Marcella's Kitchen, ensuring meals reached those in need. His commitment to service extended throughout the county, where he served as a county commissioner and held positions on numerous county boards. Johnny was also on the Planning & Zoning Committee for the City of Benton. He was deeply involved in fraternal and civic organizations. Johnny was a proud Elk at B.P.O.E #2707 and a Shriner. He also served as a Mason of the Briensburg-TL Jefferson #401 F&AM Masonic Lodge where he was the Secretary.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Sharlisa Spears Bowlin; children, Jennifer Brown (Kevin) and Jonathan Bowlin (Jennifer Pidcock); grandchildren, Conner Brown, Abbey Brown, Phoenix Bowlin, Erin Pidcock, Andrew Pidcock; mother-in-law, Donna Murphy; as well as nieces, nephews and many close friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Bob & Edna Bowlin; brother, Jerry Bowlin and infant brother, Jackie Bowlin.
A funeral service will be at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, December 23, 2025 at Collier Funeral Home with Rev. K. Alan Miller officiating. Masonic Rites and Elks Rites will be held at 2:00 PM.
Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM until 2:00 PM on Tuesday, December 23, 2025 at Collier Funeral Home, 211 West 5th, Benton, Kentucky.
