Johnny Jasper Brooks, born on November 17, 1953, passed away on February 21, 2026. A dedicated member of the industrial workforce, Johnny was known for his unwavering commitment to his career and community. He approached each day with diligence, demonstrating a work ethic that inspired those around him.
Beyond his industrious nature, Johnny was cherished for his immense heart. His willingness to do anything for anybody left an indelible mark on the lives he touched. Friends and family recall countless memories of his generosity and kindness, showcasing a character that uplifted everyone in his presence.
Johnny was not only defined by his work, but also by his rich and fulfilling interests outside of it. He found joy in playing bingo, a pastime that brought him laughter and camaraderie. His love for family was evident in the time he spent with them, creating cherished memories that will be treasured forever. The beach held a special place in his heart, where he often found solace and happiness. Alongside his various interests, he had a profound affection for his dogs, whose companionship brought him incomparable joy.
Johnny leaves behind a loving partner, Betty Ordonez, and two devoted children, Jonathan Lell and Ritzy Marcela Ordonez. He is also survived by his brother, Ronnie Brooks, his father-in-law, Virgil Lell, Sr.; sisters-in-laws Rose and Jennifer Lell; and a host of nieces and nephews: LJ Bates, Ryleigh Bates, Jordan Bates, Logan Bates, Trey Lell, Jace Lell, and Noel Lell.
He was preceded in death by his father, Albert Brooks, mother, Sadie Simpson, and his mother-in-law, Arlene Lell.
Johnny Jasper Brooks will be remembered not only for his contributions to his career but for the love and light he brought into the lives of those who knew him. His memory will live on in the hearts of many, a testament to a life lived with purpose and compassion.
