Johnny Hall

Johnny Hall, a beloved member of his community, passed away peacefully at his residence on August 21, 2025, at the age of 78. Born on September 1, 1946, in McDowell County, Johnny spent his life dedicated to his family and his faith.

He was a devoted husband to Betty Hall, with whom he shared 44 wonderful years. Johnny is also survived by his sister, Louise Vess, as well as a number of nieces and nephews who cherished him deeply. He was preceded in death by his parents, Stanley and Jennie Morris Hall.

Johnny's commitment to his faith was evident through his active participation in the Rocky Pass Free Will Baptist Church. A passionate individual, he found joy in diverse activities that included pitching horseshoes, boating, golfing, and bowling. His zest for life was matched only by his fervent enthusiasm as an avid supporter of the Duke Blue Devils.

Family and friends will gather to honor Johnny’s memory at the Rocky Pass Free Will Baptist Church in Nebo, North Carolina. Visitation will take place on August 30, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, followed by a Memorial Service at 2:00 PM at the church.

Johnny will be remembered not only for his lively spirit but also for the love he shared as a husband, brother, and uncle. His legacy will continue to inspire all who knew him.
