Johnny Hurst, Jr.
Mr. Johnny Hurst, Jr., of Amagon, Arkansas, departed this life on Saturday, April 27, 2024, at the age of 73. He was born December 12, 1950, in Jackson County, the son of John Edward and Hazel Zella (Vanoven) Hurst.
Mr. Hurst worked as a truck driver at Diamond B Transport. He had a passion for woodworking, fishing, and fixing automobiles.
Mr. Hurst was preceded in death by his wife, Janice (Thatcher) Hurst; one son, Johnathan Blake Hurst; three brothers, Carl, Gary, and Billy Joe Hurst; a great-granddaughter, Infant Maize Green; and his parents.
He is survived by one son, Johnny "Trey" Hurst, III of Amagon; one daughter, Christy Atwell; ten grandchildren, Corinne Hess and husband, Dallas, Katye Vinyard and husband Peyton, Hannah Hurst and Brad Carter, Jordan Hurst, Lilly Green and husband, Aidan, Hunter Hurst, Aidan Hurst, Draven Hurst, Dallian Carter, and Dayton Carter; nine great-grandchildren, Jaiyden, Ayce, Jacob, Dustin, Hayven, Kinleigh, Everly, Adalyn, and Lively; several nieces and nephews and friends.
Graveside memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, May 9, 2024, at Memory Garden Cemetery. Family and friends will gather at 10:00 a.m. at Jackson's Funeral Home.
