Johnny "JJ" Jarrells Jr., 52, of Chapmanville, WV, departed this life on Monday, January 6, 2025 at Chapmanville, WV.
He was born June 30, 1972 in Holden, WV, a son of Dorsie and Johnny Jarrells Sr.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Don F. Bryant and Susie "Tootsie" bryant; and paternal grandparents, Flintlock Jarrells and Garnet Jarrells.
JJ enjoyed camping, playing guitar, listening to music, tinkering on stuff, welding, riding four-wheelers and motorcycles. JJ had a loving heart as big as the sky and he was always willing to help anyone, never telling them no. He loved his three boys and his granddaughter very much.
In addition to his parents those to cherish his memory include three sons, Liam (Lexi) Jarrells, Mason Jarrells, and Terry Jarrells; the mother of his children and love of his life, Misty Dawn Adams; sister, Misty (John) Lane; brother, Aaron Jarrells (Kim Nelson); grandchild, Winslew Jarrells; very special aunt Nonie Scalf; nephews, Caleb Conley, Charles "Trey" Baisden, and Colin Jarrells.
Services will be held at 1:00 PM, Thursday, January 16, 2025 at Freeman Funeral Home with Elbert Collins Jr. and Joe Lane officiating. Burial will follow at Adams Cemetery in White Oak, WV.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, January 15, 2025 from 6:00PM until 9:00 PM at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Liam Jarrells, Mason Jarrells, Jerry Jarrells, Caleb Conley, Aaron Jarrells, and Charles Baisden.
Freeman Funeral Home, Chapmanville, WV is in charge of the arrangements
