Johnny Mack Kimbrow (John) Passed away on Christmas morning at the Lake Forest Senior Living in Hot Springs Village, AR after a short illness with acute leukemia. He was 84 years old. John was born in Midland, TX on December 10, 1941 to Horace & Elisabeth Kimbrow. He went to school in Midland and The University of Texas. He graduated with a Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in Business. He was in the Air Force 20 years, retiring in October, 1985. He worked for various companies during his working years as a computer analyst. He met Mabel in Kansas City, MO and they married May 29, 1971. They lived in Stillwell, KS for many years. They moved to Hot Springs Village, AR in 1997. John loved playing golf and spent many an afternoon chasing that little white ball around! John & Mabel enjoyed traveling and went on numerous cruises and trips to Scotland and Italy.
John is survived by his loving wife Mabel of 54 years, his 2 sisters-in-law Sherry Kimbrow of Burnet, TX and Karen Kimbrow of Midland, TX, his brother-in-law and sister-in-law David and Arlene Twente of Napoleon, MO, his brother-in-law and sister-in-law J.T. and Darlene Dieckmann of Levasy, MO. He is also survived by very special friends that John and Mabel considered as family, Michael & Lourdes Weise and their children. He also has numerous cousins, nieces and nephews surviving him.
John was preceded in death by his father and mother, Horace and Elisabeth Kimbrow, his 3 brothers, Jack, Mike and Alan as well as several aunts, uncles and cousins.
At John’s request, he will be cremated and no services are planned.
