Johnny Kenneth McInturff, 84, Johnson City, passed away on Sunday, March 15, 2026, at the Johnson City Medical Center, following a brief illness.

Johnny was a native and lifelong resident of Johnson City. He was a son of the late Roy Herman and Ovella Clark McInturff.

Johnny was retired from the V.A. where he worked in the Engineering Department for several years. He, along with his late wife, owned The Window Shoppe.

Johnny was a U.S. Navy veteran where he served in Naval Aviation.

He was a virtual member of Riverside Church, Fort Myers, FL, where his son-in-law is the Pastor.

In addition to his parents, Johnny was preceded in death by his wife of fifty-five years, Brenda Sue Edwards McInturff, in 2025, three sisters, Doris Ann Buck, Mary Louise Dockery, and Donna Gail McInturff, two infant brothers, Ralph and James McInturff.

He is survived by two children, Wendy Gail Pruitt and husband Steven, Fort Myers, FL; Jeff McInturff and wife Teal, Knoxville; five grandchildren, Megan Searson and husband Hunter, Fort Myers, Madison Hamilton and husband Sean, Fort Myers, Madeline McInturff, Knoxville, Mackenzie Pruitt, Fort Myers, and Macy McInturff, Knoxville.

The memorial service celebrating Johnny's life will be held Saturday, April 18, 2026, at 1:30 P.M., from the East Chapel of Appalachian Funeral Home, with Pastor Steve Pruitt, officiating.

Graveside committal service for both Johnny and Brenda, will follow at 3:00 P.M. in Roselawn Memory Gardens.
