Steven Jay McInturff, age 68, passed away on January 9, 2026, in Panama City, Florida. After spending several weeks in the hospital, Steven was able to return home, where he passed away peacefully.

Steven was born on November 7, 1957, in Harrisonburg, Virginia, to the late Robert Carlyle McInturff Jr. and Shirley Catherine (Armentrout) McInturff.

He is survived by his beloved son, Robert Logan McInturff, and daughter-in-law, Casey; his cherished grandchildren, Hailey and Hunter; his mother, Shirley McInturff Shirley; his sisters, Teresa McInturff and Tina Sarra; and several nieces, a nephew, and great-nieces and a great-nephew, all of whom will miss him dearly.

Steven was preceded in death by his father, Robert Carlyle McInturff Jr.

The family would like to extend heartfelt gratitude to the many healthcare workers and close friends who cared for and supported Steven throughout his many years of health challenges. Their compassion, dedication, and kindness meant more than words can express.

A private celebration of Steven's life will be held at a later date for family members.

In lieu of flowers, the family invites those who wish to honor Steven's memory to donate to the Ascension Sacred Heart Kidney Transplant Program, or to a charity of their choice.

Steven is now at peace, reunited with loved ones who went before him, resting in God's care. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him, and his memory will forever remain in our hearts.
