Johnny Messer

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Johnny Messer, a beloved father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. Johnny, who was born on October 4, 1941, peacefully left us on October 22, 2025. He was a cherished member of his family and community, known for his warm heart and kind spirit.
Johnny is survived by his children: son Lee Messer, Jr. (Jennifer), daughters Janet Cole (Richard) and Donna Thomas (Tim Mobley). His legacy continues through his grandchildren Josh Cole (Kristen), Tiffany Thomas (Dr. Seeb Rauf), and Jenna Lyman (Sean), as well as his eight great-grandchildren, Harleigh, Caleb, Sophia, Silas, Layla, Lydia, Henry, and Dylan; special care giver, Carolyn Bradshaw; and his special nieces and nephews who will always remember him fondly.
He was preceded in death by his loving parents, Ervin and Lula Sutton Messer, along with his brother, David Messer, and sisters Louise Patrick, Marie Huffstetler, and Vonona Cook. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
A graveside service will be held at Edgewood Cemetery in Lowell on Saturday, October 25, 2025, at 2:00 PM, officiated by Pastor Richard Cole. Friends and family are welcome to join us in celebrating Johnny's life and sharing cherished memories.
