He was preceded in death by his parents Oakley Arnold and Lorene Dobbs Sherrell and on granddaughter Faith LeAnne.
His is survived by his wife of 55 years Laura Sue Sherrell of Cookeville, two daughters Julie Erica Allen and husband David of Sparta and Angela Sherrell Barden of Cookeville, Three Grandchildren Erica Suzann Allen, Jon Michael Allen, Kelsey Hickok and husband Josh, great-grandchildren Arya, Madilyn and Lillian Hickok
There will be a Celebration of Life at a later date.
Oak Lawn Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
