Johnny Ray Whitehead, age 73, of Jefferson City, TN went to be with the Lord, October 2, 2025. He loved to spend his time fixing engines and being with his grandchildren. He was a devoted member of Mountain View Baptist Church.
Johnny is preceded in death by his wife, Carla Jean Whitehead; and parents, Emanuel and Lucy Whitehead. He is survived by his children, Amy (Kevin) Cameron, TJ (Nikki) Whitehead, Kristine Haney, Michael (Sarah) Cobble, and Ashley (Justin) Frye; grandchildren, Ethan (Izzy), Landen, Jaylynn, Brodie, Brantley, Jensen, Corbin, Jordyn, Charlee, Christian, Abby, and LeAnn (John); great-grandchildren, Austin, Brently, and Amanda; siblings, Wayne Whitehead, Carroll (Leverne) Whitehead and Diane Farrow; dog, Millie; and a host of other family and friends. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to C.A.R.E and the Mountain View Baptist Church Youth Group.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, October 7, 2025 from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at Farrar Funeral Home Jefferson City. A funeral service will be held Wednesday, October 8, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. at Mountain View Baptist Church with a burial to follow with Rev. Kim Farrow and Jonathan Lavignette officiating.
