Jon Apmann Obituary

Jon L. Apmann, 78, passed peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Monday, May 8, 2023 at his home in Barrington Hills. He was born July 19, 1944 in Milwaukee, WI, the son of the late Elmer and Mary Katherine (nee Seiter) Apmann. Jon is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Nancy; his children, David (Kathleen) Apmann, Mark (Katy) Apmann, Missy (David) Poepping; his grandchildren, Scotty, Kevin and Peter Apmann and Allison and Amanda Apmann; his sister, Madge (Edward) Baumann; and his mother-in-law, Marilyn Zillner. Visitation will be held Friday, May 12, 2023 from 4-8 p.m. at Davenport Family Funeral Home and Crematory, 941 S Old Rand Rd., Lake Zurich, IL 60047. The funeral Mass will be held the following day, Saturday, May 13, at 11 a.m. with visitation beginning at 10 a.m. at St. Anne Catholic Church, 120 Ela St., Barrington, IL 60010. Interment will be private. Donations may be made in Jon's memory to Max McGraw Wildlife Foundation at www.mcgraw.org or to C.R.O.W. Sanibel at www.crowclinic.org. I can still hear his laugh and see the smile on his face with the gleam in his eyes. I think of him often and how he loved his family.

Sorry that we won't be there to help celebrate Jon's life. He will definitely be in our thoughts and prayers, tho. So many great memories!!
