Jon Keith Chapman, 87, of

Mount Carmel, Illinois, the son of John Henry Chapman and Thelma Pauline (Birkla) Chapman.
Jon was a lifelong resident of Mount Carmel and a proud graduate of Mount Carmel High School. He honorably served his Country in the United States Army before continuing his passion for service and technology at Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, Alabama, where he took great pride in his work on missile and radar programs.

His dedication, skill, and genuine kindness left a lasting impression on everyone who had the privilege of working alongside him.
On August 5, 1962, Jon married the love of his life, Shirley Mason, and together they shared more than sixty-three years of marriage. Their life together was marked by devotion to one another, dedication to their family, and a deep commitment to their faith.
Jon was a devoted member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, where his faith remained an important part of his daily life. He was also a member of the Lions Club and the Knights of Columbus 4th Degree, and he appreciated the friendships and fellowship he found within those groups, along with the opportunities to serve others in his community.
