Barbara J. Chapman, 79 of Plainview, Texas passed away Tuesday, November 18, 2025, in Lubbock, Texas. A viewing and funeral service for Mrs. Chapman will be held on Friday, November 21, 2025. The viewing will be held at 10:00am at Lemons Funeral Home followed by the funeral service at 2:00pm at Lemons Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow in Parklawn Memorial Gardens. Funeral arrangements are under the care of Lemons Funeral Home in Plainview.

Barbara was born on February 25, 1946, in Plainview, Texas to Joe and Eva Selman. She graduated from Plainview High School and attended Texas Tech University. She married Kenneth Chapman on May 26, 1973, in Plainview, Texas. She enjoyed cooking, crafting, and painting. Most of all she enjoyed family time, especially when she spent time with her grandchildren.

Barbara is survived by her husband, Kenneth Chapman of Plainview; one son, Shane Chapman (Christy Chapman) of Lubbock, Texas; one daughter, Tonya Chapman (Chelsea Carson) of Lubbock, Texas; four grandchildren, Hunter Trevino, Matthew Chapman, Tiffany Chapman and Kailyn Perez; two great-grandchildren, Loralei and Seidon Chapman.

Barbara is preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Eva Selman.
