It is with deepest sorrow that we inform you of the passing of our beloved husband, dad, brother, uncle and best friend, Richard Alan Low (68) on November 16, 2025. He was born in Dallas, Texas on January 5, 1957, to Frances and Ellard Low.
Throughout his diverse career from cooking at Chili's and construction, Richard started his career at Dillards, selling furniture, where he met the love of his life, Robin. After more than 20 years of managing Dillards stores throughout the southern United States, he made the decision to move to Lubbock ("the Hub"), Texas, to work at Home Depot for two years before making the decision to further his education.
Richard attended Texas Tech University twice, achieving his Bachelor of Business Administration, and Master of Science in Personal Financial Planning. Ever enthusiastic for knowledge, Richard continued his education by achieving his FINRA series 7, 31, and 66 licenses. As well as the Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor and Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designations.
Richard pursued a career in the financial industry working at Merrill Lynch as a Financial Advisor, assisting with tax preparation at Jackson Hewitt, before arriving at Charles Schwab assisting clients as a relationship manager and subsequently a financial planner and advisor specializing in retirement planning.
Richard loved to travel with his family, cooking for his family including his world-famous Low family French Toast and Breakfast tacos, golfing with his boys, watching the Texas Tech Red Raiders, reading his Wall Street Journal and Dallas Morning News, and long walks with his ever loving and patient wife, Robin.
He is survived by his wife, Robin; two sons, Matthew and Alex; brother Mike, wife Pat and sons David, and John; sister-in-law Nancy Robertson; brothers-in-law Mike West and Ray West; many nieces, nephews and great nieces and great nephews.
A Memorial Service for Richard is planned for Wednesday, November, 19, 2025, at 12:00 pm at Aria Cremation Service & Funeral Home, 1820 N. Belt Line Road, Irving, TX 75061.
