Dana William Wade
April 28, 1970 ~ October 10, 2025
On Friday, October 10, 2025, Dana Wade passed away peacefully in
Dallas, Texas.
He was born on April 28, 1970, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. The family moved to Plano, Texas at a young age, and he was raised by loving parents, mother Sandra Wade and adoptive father Steven Wade.
He spent the rest of his teenage years in Plano and attended Plano Senior High School. Dana is survived by his younger brother Stephen Wade, stepbrothers Tim Wade and Aaron Wade, former wife Karen Wade and their son Travis Wade, former wife Susie Goad and their children Summer Jenks, Tristan Wade, and Shawn Wade.
As a child, Dana began and developed his life-long love of nature, animals, and sports that would continue throughout his entire life.
He was most at peace when outdoors. It did not matter if it was a lake, on acreage, or a creek. And, as both a brother and eventually as a father, he used this as a way to instill a sense of adventure and strength that would also help shape the others in his life.
He enjoyed all sports and especially loved and excelled in competitive soccer and track & field. Dana also used his love of music to become an exceptional guitar player. He had a big heart and often used playing guitar as an outlet for that.
Into his adult life, Dana started his own business and became a well accomplished Audio-Visual installer. He was known in the DFW metroplex over the last several decades for providing high quality work.
And, while he may not have been able to ultimately achieve his dream of becoming a professional fisherman or guide, Dana became a passionate angler who clearly had a gift. He also loved to help share his knowledge of the sport with loved ones, friends, and even strangers.
One of his favorite things was to take his kids, dogs, and family members for an outing together. He also loved to celebrate his children's and niece's and nephew's accomplishments at school, at work, or on the playing fields. And he found joy in helping a friend in need with his hands or tools as well.
Though gone from this earth too soon, Dana has thankfully entered into eternal peace, where more love and joy awaits.
He was also preceded in death by his biological father, William Mills.
The family is having a private graveside service at Saint Mary's Cemetery in Ardmore, Oklahoma at a later date in November where he will be buried near the family's land, he enjoyed the most.
