Jon Elizabeth (Cannon) Huffine, lovingly known as Libby, was born on July 16, 1946, in Jackson, Mississippi, and peacefully passed away in her sleep on March 8, 2025, in Longview, Washington. She lived a life filled with love, warmth, and generosity, leaving behind a legacy that touched the hearts of many.

Libby was a devoted wife of 20 years to her husband, Ernest (Leroy) Huffine, who provided unwavering support throughout their life together. Her family meant everything to her, and she took immense pride in being a mother and grandmother. She is survived by her daughters, Rebecca Shaw and Kelly Smith; her son, Joey Huffine; her sister, Debbie Lancaster; and her grandchildren, Cianna Tormohlen, Chloe Smith, Kailey Huffine, Brendan Smith, and Keira Huffine. Additionally, she cherished her lifelong friend Theresa Greene and her close friend John Bills, both of whom brought joy and companionship to her life.

Libby’s memory will forever shine brightly in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know her. She was known for her loving, kind, and giving nature, always putting others first. Whether it was through her heartfelt birthday wishes or her joyful spirit during the Christmas season, she had a unique way of making everyone feel special. Her culinary talents were exceptional; she consistently prepared delightful meals, ensuring that those around her were well-fed and loved. Her home was a haven where warmth and compassion thrived, and her delicious meals often led to second helpings.

Educated in Flora, Mississippi, Libby graduated high school before earning her Associate's Degree in Vancouver, Washington. She served as a loving and supportive wife to an Air Force TSGT, showcasing her commitment and dedication to family and service.

Throughout her life, Libby embraced various hobbies, including sewing and making greeting cards, all with the intention of bringing joy to others. Her selflessness and ability to create were reflected not only in her crafts but also in the bonds she forged with her family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her father, John Cannon II; her mother, Viola Cannon; her brother, John Cannon III; as well as close friend Jeannie Bills, and many other dear friends who will also be missing her dearly.

A memorial service to honor Libby’s life will be held on March 22, 2025, at Robert Gray Baptist Church in Longview, Washington, starting at 11:00 AM.

Jon Elizabeth Huffine will always be remembered for her loving spirit, her unwavering support, and her ability to bring people together. Her legacy of kindness and compassion will carry on in the hearts of her loved ones.
