Jon B. Knudson

Jon B. Knudson, 86, of Lake Park, MN, passed away on Thursday, August 7, 2025, at Sunnyside Care Center, Lake Park, MN. Jon was born July 30, 1939, to Chester and Lillian (Helgeson) Knudson. He grew up in Lake Park, graduating from Lake Park High School. Following high school, he enlisted and served in the U.S. Navy. After his honorable discharge, Jon returned to Lake Park and began working. He married Carol Braseth and together they had four children, Shawn, Doug, Kim and Ronda. Jon worked for S & S Construction and later enjoyed working for Fargo Parks. Jon later married Shirley Qualley and gained two step-sons, Don and Greg. Jon continued working with Fargo Parks until retirement. Over the years, Jon also enjoyed spending time outdoors, hunting, gardening and taking care of their lawn. He will be greatly missed.

Jon is survived by his wife, Shirley; four children, two stepchildren, 16 grandchildren, as well as great-grandchildren, extended family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Jean; and great-grandchildren, Ellie and Landon.

Visitation will be Thursday, August 14, from 12:00 - 1:00 PM, followed by the memorial service at 1:00 PM, in Wright Funeral Home, Hawley, MN.
