Loreauville - A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, January 1, 2022, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Loreauville for Jon-Luke Patrick Lancon, 4, who passed away on Wednesday, December 29, 2021.
Interment will be in the Broussard Cemetery, with a reception following at the St. Theresa Hall in Loreauville.
Rev. Barry Crochet will be the Celebrant.
A gathering of family and friends will be Friday from 3:00 pm until 9:00 pm at Pellerin Funeral Home. A rosary will be prayed at 6:00 pm Friday. Visitation will continue on Saturday from 8:00 am until 10:00 am.
Jon-Luke was born on May 24, 2017 in New Iberia. He loved dinosaurs, singing, dancing, being outside, and playing with his tractor and electronics. Jon-Luke brought so much joy to everyone.
Survivors include his parents, Elby and Dana Gachassin Lancon, Jr.; brother, Eli Lancon; maternal grandfather, John Gachassin; paternal grandfather, Elby Lancon, Sr.; paternal grandmother, Karen Lancon; uncles, Toby Bailey (Christi), Jason Bailey, Matt Gachassin (Leah), and Justin Lancon; aunts, Angela Gachassin, and Jennifer Miller (Jeb); and a great aunt, Theresa Delcambre (Lynn).
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Patricia Breaux Gachassin; maternal great grandfather, Orford Breaux; maternal great grandmother, Mary Lou Breaux; great uncles, Neil Breaux, and Darryl Breaux; maternal great-grandfather, William Gachassin; maternal great-grandmother, Rita Gachassin; paternal great-grandfathers, Leo Viator and Leonard Lancon, Sr.; paternal great-grandmothers, Emma Viator, and Lee Ann Lancon; great Aunt, Georgiana Delcambre; maternal step great grandmother, Lucille Breaux.
Pallbearers will be Ethan Bailey, Peyton Bailey, Justin Bailey, Austen Guilbeau, Jake Delcambre, and Eric Borne.
Pellerin Funeral Home, 502 Jefferson Terrace Blvd., New Iberia, LA 70560, (337-365-3331) is in charge of arrangements.
