Jon Ronald Mock, 62, of Gallatin, Tennessee, passed away on August 11, 2025, following a long battle with kidney disease, which he faced with much courage and strength. He was born on September 2, 1962, in Fargo, North Dakota, and grew up in Moorhead, Minnesota, where he graduated from Moorhead High School in 1981. He went on to earn his Associate of Business degree from Nashville Technical Institute in Nashville, Tennessee. For the past 15 years, he worked for Walmart, where he was known for his reliability and dedication. He found joy in the simple pleasures of life-being with his family, spending time on the golf course, fishing, and kayaking on Old Hickory Lake. He was also an avid car racing and football fan. Jon was our beloved son, brother, and uncle. His smile, generosity, wit, and humble spirit, along with the way he always made us feel loved and appreciated, brought joy and happiness to our lives. We will miss him greatly. He is survived by his mother, Flora Mock of Gallatin, TN; brothers, Tom Mock of Clarksville, TN, and Gary Mock (Julie) of Enid, OK; sisters, Sandy Kirkendall (Rick) of Hendersonville, TN, and Laurie Lucas of Hendersonville, TN; nieces Kayla Kirkendall, Alayna Kirkendall, Alexis Black, and Shelby Atkins; and nephews Josh Mock, Henry Lucas, and Craig Kirkendall. He was preceded in death by his father, Ronald Mock. A celebration of Jon's life will be planned for a future date, with details to be shared with family and friends.
