Jon Roark Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Dial & Dudley Funeral Home - Bryant on Dec. 23, 2025.
Jon Harrison Roark, 89, of Poyen, Arkansas, passed away on Friday, December 19, 2025. He was born to the late Robert and Pauline Roark on Wednesday, April 15, 1936, in Poyen, Arkansas.

Jon was a devoted husband, loving father, proud grandfather, and cherished great-grandfather. He had a heart of gold and would do anything for his family. Spending time with them brought him his greatest joy, especially moments shared with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, whom he loved deeply.

An outdoorsman at heart, Jon loved gardening and was almost always outside, finding something to fix or work on. His hands were never idle, and his quiet dedication was evident in everything he did.

He married the love of his life, Gracie F. Roark, in 1959, and together they built a life centered on love, faith, and family. They were blessed with five children.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Lucinda Hurley; his parents, Robert and Pauline Roark; and his siblings, Robert Roark, Bill Roark, Burl Roark, Tommy Roark, and Debbie Draper.

Jon is survived by his beloved wife, Gracie F. Roark; his children, Tim Roark, Paul Roark, Mitchell Roark, and Julie Ray; his grandchildren, Leah Snider, Devin Roark, Dade Roark, Austin Ray, and Sophie Ray; and his great-grandchildren, Wren, Ensley, Sam, Noah, Sarah, Emma, Katie, Adlee, and Vivian.

He is also survived by his siblings, Kay Roark, Mary Freeman, Marty Austin, and Ersel McDaniel.

Jon carried his Poyen roots with him throughout his life. His legacy lives on through the many lives he touched with his kindness, steady presence, and unwavering love for family. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, December 30, 2025, at 10:00 A.M. at Dial and Dudley Funeral Home.
