Jon Ross Obituary
January 6, 1983 - September 25, 2025
ITHACA - Jon Frederick Ross, 42, of Ithaca, N.Y., passed away suddenly on September 25, 2025, following several years battling addiction. Born on January 6, 1983, in Ithaca, Jon was the son of Ronald C. and Margaret M. Ross. After graduating from Ithaca High School in 2001, Jon went on to serve in the US Navy and attend TC3. He was a car enthusiast and had a passion for being outdoors, hiking, and riding his Harley Davidson.
In addition to his parents, Jon is survived by his sister, Joan Ross; daughter, Sakura Ross; niece, Leilani Ross; special cousins, Jeannette Ross DeChick and Jessica Ross Friedel; and special family member, Susan Seamon.
Family and friends are invited to a period of visitation from 2 to 3 p.m. on Friday, October 10, 2025, at Lansing Funeral Home, 32 Auburn Road, Lansing. A brief memorial service will follow at 3 p.m. at the funeral home. A private committal service will take place at a later time in Pleasant Grove Cemetery, Ithaca.
